I was pleased to be selected as one of the
first people to view and review the initial offering from the Colorado based
production company Twisted Digital Video.
Their service was prompt and courteous and I received a very professionally
looking pre-mass production copy of STICKABILITY. The footage of this film was
primarily of the Colorado area but they did venture outside the state to get
some great footage in places like Cedar City, Utah and Farmington, New Mexico.
The thing that initially caught my eye was
the beautiful scenery interspersed with gigantic boulders and waterfalls.
Colorado doesn't get gigantic amounts of press in 4X4 magazines or on the
internet per se, but this offering from Twisted does the wheeling community in
Colorado a huge favor in showcasing their terrain and destinations. I have
several friends that have wheeled in Colorado and done many of the trails
mentioned in this video, I never realized how much fun it looked until I saw
full motion video of several 4x4 groups like
www.spidertrax.com , www.phatjeeps.com
, and www.all4performance.com .
Most off-road videos are sponsored by the
local 4x4 shops these days it seems. Most shops seem to have a competition buggy
or two and aren't afraid to show off a little. I was impressed with the guys
from Spidertrax and their out-of-the-box suspension geometry and chassis design,
they gave me a good look into their minds just by doing slow motion on the DVD

I love the forest closing in on the boulders on the trail.
These spots in Colorado look like great destinations for a wheeling vacation!!

I really like the camera work in this
video...I have to admit that I think a couple of cameras might have been run
over during the filming of this video from the extreme close-ups and
drive-overs....You will have to ask the guys at Twisted DV when you place your
order....

You will have to buy the DVD to see where this Swamper SSR ends up.....
I loved the camera work of the drive by BFG to open the film....those are
some blingin bead locks!!

I liked the camerawork in this video....you have all seen
the camera guy at competitions or other events that are camera worthy. It seems
like you have to be 3/4 insane to get as close as you do to these vehicles and
their sometimes mentally unstable operators. I know as a UROC spotter I have to
be light on my feet to get the hell out of the way sometimes!! My favorite scene
is when the camera operator was sitting on a log and he almost gets run
over when a fat tire comes rolling into the log he is perched on causing the
camera to shake and shudder uncontrollably.
The producers of many videos on the market are extreme in
all aspects of their life, from their vehicles, to their clothing, to the
company they keep, and to their music they listen to. I personally loved the
soundtrack of this movie. I like death metal and some punk. I like heavy
sounding guitars, drums and bass. There are even some great rock-rap/hip-hop
tracks on there..I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these
non-mainstream bands! If you are a country lover...you might want to turn the
volume down as it will cause you to lose your mind....just enjoy the endless
array of vehicles attacking wicked terrain! With tracks from bands such as:

I liked this video. It seemed tailored to my musical and
cinematographical tastes and I recommend it to anyone!
did I mention it has hoo-haas in it...
